sorry for the redundant post but yesterday I was at Zerloon's Place (literally... ;P ) with Sinclair ( and our lovelly wives..) and Lorenzo tried (once more) to help me get some decent pictures of my miniatures...

Wh40k progress - Parte 4

Ciao a tutti Ragazzi,
come tutte le migliori cose, anche le ferie sono purtroppo finite.. In preda ad un raptus modellistico, dopo aver ultimato la mia squadra di bloodbowl, ho cercato di ultimare una parte delle Guardie imperiali in lavorazione prima che gli impegni lavorativi mi costringessero ad una nuova "pausa creativa".

all the best things comes to an end and my holidays are unfortunately finished.... In a modelling raptus, after having completed my Bloodbowl team, I've tried to complete some of the WIP Imperial guards that were on my desk before my work forced me in an "artistic pause".

 Per prima cosa ho dato l'undercoat ai modelli che avevo assemblato, al che ho provato a dipingerli "in scioltezza".. Il problema è che, se cerco di ottenere maggiori dettagli, i tempi necessari ad avere un esercito completamente dipinto saranno Biblici, devo quindi trovare il giusto compromesso tra velocità e qualità...

First of all I've undercoated the models I've previously assembled. I then tried to paint them in a fairly "relaxed" way... Problem is that, if I want a detailled paintjob, I'll never be able to paint an entire Imperial Guard army, I must then find the right compromise between quality and speed...

Mi ci sono voluti 2 giorni per dipingere 4 modelli... E' troppo, devo accelerare!! Credo che non incollerò più l'equipaggiamento prima della pittura, i vari ritocchi e l'attenzione necessaria levano troppo tempo....

It took 2 days to paint 4 troopers... Way too much, I need to speed up! I think I will not glue the various equipments on the models before to paint the next ones, the touch up and the corrections needed are too much time consuming...

BloodBowl a risparmio - Parte 4 (FINISHED!!!)

Ciao a tutti,
sono appena tornato da una vacanza di 15 giorni in camper in giro per ll'Italia e la Francia del Sud, purtroppo temo di essermi ingrassato di almeno 2 chili!!! XD
Detto questo, appena tornato a casa ho deciso di completare la squadra del Chaos alla quale stavo lavorando, considerando che mi mancavano 2 modelli per avere la squadra completa più un giocatore di riserva, mi sono dedicato a questo..

Hi Guys,
I'm finally back home after a 2 weeks holiday across northern Italy and southern France in Camping car, unfortunately, I'm afraid I've picked up at least 2 kilos of weight!! XD
That said, as soon I was home, I decided to complete the last 2 models of my Bood bowl Chaos squad and to paint the bases of the entire team.

The complete Team- 11 Players, 1 Reserve and a Cheerleader

Come potete vedere, la squadra è composta da 4 guerrieri del Chaos molto "vintage" ottenuti da modelli vecchi di quasi un ventennio , 3 beastmen in piombo e 5 anch'essi abbastanza vecchiotti. Devo dire di essere soddisfatto del risultato finale considerando anche il costo irrisorio dato che la maggior parte dei modelli sono stati brutalmente "riciclati"!! ;)

As you can see, the team is composed of 4 really vintage Chaos warriors, 3 metal beastmen and 5 oold plastic beastmen I've modified.
I must say I'm satisfied by the final result especially because the whole squad was really cheap to assemble since most of the models were brutally "recicled" from one of my bits boxes.

Per completare veramente la squadra mi mancherebbe da dipingere il minotauro e, magari una seconda cheerleader, ma non ho fretta... Per ora è tutto, aspetto, come sempre i Vs consigli/pareri che sono come sempre graditissimi.. :)

BloodBowl a risparmio - Parte 3 (CheerUp!!)

Ciao a tutti,

come vi avevo promesso nel mio ultimo post, ora torneremo a parlare di  Blood bowl. In realtà mi ero un po' stufato di dipingere grossi omaccioni pelosi con le facce caprine ed ho voluto fare qualcosa di lievemente diverso, mi sono quindi dedicato ad una procace Cheerleader.

Sono partito da Triviel, Hellborn Rogue  della Reaper e le le ho eliminato entrambe le mani che ho sostituito con 2 piccoli perni di metallo. Su di questi ho scolpito i pom-pom da cheerleader

Piccola nota a margine, mentre questa volta le linee di fusione erano "gestibili", il pugnale della mano sinistra era così mal stampato da essere lungo meno della metà, per fortuna non è stato un problema poiché l'ho tagliato semplicemente via però rimango sorpreso dalla quantità di pezzi mal stampati che mi arrivano dalla Reaper, ma questo problema ce l'ho solo io???

Hello everyone,
as I promised in my last post, now we'll talk again about Blood Bowl. Actually I was a little tired of painting big burly hairy beastmen with goat faces and I wanted to do something slightly different, so I dedicated myself to a busty cheerleader.

Starting with the Reaper miniature Triviel, Hellborn Rogue, I've cut away both her hands and sculpted the pom-poms.

Little side note, while this time the mold lines were "manageable", the dagger on her left hand was so badly cast that only half was present, luckily it was not a problem because I simply cut away the hand but I am surprised by the amount of poorly cast models from Reaper that I purchased, but am I the only unlucky one with this problem or Reaper has a serious quality control problem?

Dopo circa 3ore di pittura vi presento la mia prima cheerleader del Chaos, speriamo che aiuti la squadra a giocare meglio della mia ultima partita!!!! ;)

Guerra Franco-Indiana - French and Indian war - Parte 1

Ciao a tutti,
già mi sembra di sentirvi... "E mò che c'entra la guerra franco indiana??" Infatti, non c'entra nulla! ;)
Stavo andando avanti con la mia squadra del caos di Blood bowl quando mi sono reso conto che non ho più spazio libero sulla mia scrivania, non ho fatto altro che completare una miniatura di Irochese che giaceva in attesa sulla mia paint station (praticamente aveva solo l'undercoat).

un veloce aggiornamento per mostrare che non ho mentito ed ho effettivamente continuato a produrre modelli per la mia squadra del Chaos di Blood bowl.

Lately I am the ghost of myself and my Blogging production is very reduced, but you already know it.
BUT this does not mean that I was lazily passing my days and that my production was idle. Although at a really reduced pace, I've not stopped!

Con gli amici dell'associazione, abbiamo deciso di fare una minilega introduttiva di Bloodbowl per neofiti (me compreso) ed abbiamo quindi "messo insieme" diverse squadre con pezzi molto vecchi o riciclando elementi di progetti mai completati.
Avendo diversi pezzi danneggiati di Heroquest, oltre a Beastmen e guerrieri del caos dei lontani anni '90,  ho deciso di provare a modificarli in modo da ottenere una squadra utilizzabile anche se molto "vintage". Sempre in quest'ottica, mi sono cimentato in una modifica abbastanza estesa di un vecchio (ed orribile) umano della scatola base della 2^ edizione di Blood bowl.

With my friends from my gaming group, we decided to make a little Bloodbowl league for beginners (including myself) and we then "put together" different teams with very old models or recycling elements and miniatures from dead projects.
Having several damaged Heroquest models, and some chaos warriors and beastmen from the nineties, I decided to try to modify them in order to get an usable, even if really "vintage", team. Keeping in mind that I wanted a recycled feeling with my team, I have also tried to do a fairly extensive convertion of one of the old (and horrible) human player from the Blood Bowl 2nd edition box.

Anche se la mia squadra non era ancora in lavorazione, ho comunque giocato la mia prima partita contro gli orchi di Kuvier.
Devo dire che è stato uno scontro "maschio" ma la mia squadra non se l'è cavata male. Prossimo incontro contro i "Morti che Parlano", squadra Khemri di Rothmoni.. Devo dire che li temo... ;)

Even though my team was still heavily in a work in progress state, I still managed to play my first game against Kuvier's orcs.
I must say it was more a fight than a match but my team did not fared badly. 
My next match will be against "The speaking deads",  Rothmoni's Khemri team.. I must say that I fear them a little... ;)
