Rule N° 1 - Cardio.... (aka WF Woman survivor) - And Counterblast introduction

nulla di nuovo sul fronte della pittura ma moltissime novità dal punto di vista del modellismo in genere...
Prima di passare a qualcosa di COMPLETAMENTE diverso, ho dipinto una sopravvisuta realizzata con i pezzi della Wargames Factory e devo dire che non mi dispiace..

nothing new on the painting front but many news about my modellism skills in a more global way...
Before we move on to something COMPLETELY different, I assembled and painted a female survivor made ​​with Wargames Factory bits and I must say that I like her..

Alcuni di Voi l'hanno già vista e mi scuso se ripropongo lo stesso modello ma, ultimamente, non mi sono dedicato più alla pittura in quanto ho deciso di provare a scolpire alcuni modelli da zero (diciamo che Zerloon mi ha finalmente convinto a provare).
Di conseguenza mi sto dedicando anima e corpo a questa nuova attività al punto che sto anche valutando di partecipare a questa gara per motivarmi (senza velleità di vittoria ovviamente).
Recentemente ho partecipato al COUNTERBLAST Kickstarter fatto da Patrick Keith e, devo aggiungere, che ho sempre apprezzato la fantascienza "retrò" e sbruffona. E' per questo motivo che ho deciso di scolpire dei modelli scanzonati e simpatici da, eventualmente, utilizzare in Counterblast quando sarà il momento.
Per ora è tutto, a breve vi farò vedere quello che sto ottenendo anche se, purtroppo, non potrò mostrare i modelli che vorrei iscrivere alla competizione a causa del regolamento.
Fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate e, soprattutto, auguratemi buona fortuna!! ;)

Some of you have already seen it and I apologize if I propose it again but, lately, I have not dedicated myself much to painting since I decided to try to sculpt some models from scratch (Let's say that Zerloon finally convinced me to try).
As a result I am dedicated body and soul to this new activity to the point that I'm also considering to enter this competition to motivate me (no hopes of winning of course).
I recently took part to the Counterblast Kickstarter done by Patrick Keith (nice Guy, really!) and I must add, that I have always loved "Pulp retro" science fiction with boaster Characters. It's for this reason that I decided to sculpt some light-hearted and funny models to possibly to use in Counterblast when the time comes.

That's all for now, shortly I'll show you what I'm achieving though, unfortunately, I can not show the models I want to enter to the competition because of the rules.

come al solito sono sparito, purtroppo il tempo di mettermi al computer per scrivere qualcosa di nuovo ed interessante sul blog è sempre meno... Trovandomi davanti al pesante dilemma tra scrivere post interessanti ed elaborati (senza foto) e scrivere poche righe inframmezzate da tantissime foto delle mie ultime creature, penso preferiate la seconda....
Bando alle ciance allora, per il momento mi limiterò a condividere con voi il risultato degli ultimi 2 mesi di modellismo "Imperiale"..

Hi everyone,
as usual I've disappeared for a while, unfortunately the time I have to sit at the computer to write something new and interesting on the blog is always less ... Finding myself in front of the heavy dilemma between writing interesting and deep posts (with no photos) and write a few lines interspersed with many pics of my latest creations, I think you'll prefer the latter ....
'Nuff said then, for the moment I will share with you the results of the last two months of "Imperial" modeling ..

Cardboard and plasticard scratch built Griffon... Obviously, I can't use it anymore... GRRRR!!!

 

The Griffon mortar is removable, I'll try to build a new gun to use it as a Wyvern

Veteran Squad of Guardsmen, The sergeant and the Commissar are the most recent additions

The sgt's Cross, his cap and the skull with laurel on the Commissar cap are modelled from scratch with green stuff.

 

The Commissar has started his life as Colonel commissar Gaunt, I've used a slightly adapted Victoria miniatures sword arm and a German officer head from Warlord Miniatures.

The Ruins on the base were about to be thrown away by a friend because badly painted and damaged, I asked him to give them to me so I could try to salvage them, I think I was able to... ;) 

Painting the cockpit like that gave me the bits to model the control station on the griffon...

To protect and to serve (dinner time!)

ultimamente devo dire di essere stato abbastanza prolifico anche se non ho completato tutti i modelli che mi ero prefissato. 

Avevo anche scritto un lungo post che raccontava gli avvenimenti dela mia partita ad ATZ... beh, il post è andato perduto e, onestamente, non mi sento particolarmente propenso a riscrivere tutto... Magari tra qualche giorno!! ;)

Per farmi perdonare, volevo condividere con voi un piccolo esperimento modellistico.. Come sapete, ho a disposizione una quantità non indifferente di zombi in plastica della Studio Miniatures (SM) oltre che ad alcuni vecchi modelli della Wargames Factory (WF). Ho quindi deciso di provare ad unire un busto della WF con delle gambe ed una testa calva della SM. Sfoderata la mia fidata materia verde, ho cercato di scolpire dettagli sul modello in modo da riprodurre il meglio possibile l'uniforme da vice sceriffo.

Hello to all,
lately I must say I was quite prolific even if I have not completed all the models that I wanted to.
I also wrote a long post that recounted the events of my ATZ game... Well, the post has been lost and, honestly, I do not feel particularly inclined to rewrite everything ... Maybe in a few days! ;)

To forgive me, I wanted to share with you a little modeling experiment.. As you know, I have a considerable amount of Studio Miniatures (SM) plastic zombies as well as some older models from Wargames Factory (WF) available. I then decided to try to join a WF torso with the legs and a bald head from SM. Armed with my trusty green stuff, I tried to sculpt details on the model in order to reproduce as well as possible a deputy sheriff uniform. 

(A lot) beyond the call of duty....

Devo confessare che il dettaglio che mi soddisfa di più è la camicia strappata sotto l'ascella destra, mi rendo conto che sia un dettaglio insignificante ma mi piace molto... ;)

La Chierica - Parte 1

Ciao a tutti,

dopo l'ennesima lunga assenza, eccomi di ritorno...

Dopo anni di assenza dal mondo dei GdR, ultimamente, ho deciso di ricominciare a giocare un po' di ruolo approfittando di una campagna associativa a D&D 4^ edizione che dovrebbe iniziare a breve.

Dopo una breve riflessione ho deciso di creare un chierico mezzelfo seguace della Regina Corvo. Non avendo però trovato una miniatura che mi piacesse, ho deciso di interpretare un personaggio femminile in modo da avere una scusa valida per modificare e ridipingere un modello predipinto della serie Pathfinder della NECA/Wizkids.

Dopo aver sverniciato il modello con la mia ormai collaudata tecnica, ho proceduto a sostituire lo spadino ed il suo fodero con una mazza ed una sacca autocostruite con la materia verde, fatto questo ho provato a scolpire i capelli in modo da farli sembrare lunghi raccolti in una coda di cavallo (vi ho già parlato della mia passione per questa pettinatura vero?? ;P ).

Hello to all,
after yet another long absence, I'm back again ...
It was years since I last played to some RPGs, I then decided to play in a little D&D 4th edition campaign which should begin shortly in my gaming club.
After a brief consideration I have decided to create an half-elf Raven Queen cleric. Although, I had not found a miniature that I really liked and then I decided to play a female character in order to have a valid excuse to convert and repaint a prepainted NECA/Wizkids Pathfinder model.
Having stripped the model with my tried and tested technique, I proceeded to replace the short sword and it's sheath with a mace and a pouch I sculpted with green stuff. Once I've done that, I tried to sculpt the hair to make them look longer and collected in a ponytail (I have already talked about my passion for this hairstyle don't I? :P).

Per completare il tutto ho scolpito un sottile strato di materia verde sulla base in modo da farlo sembrare di pietra.

As you can see, I've sculpted a small amount of Green stuff on the base to mimic a flagstone pavement.

Ad essere sinceri, non sono molto soddisfatto del risultato finale, considerando però di aver impiegato circa 3 ore per la pittura e considerando che era uno sfizio da usare durante il GdR, non mi posso lamentare troppo.....

Voi che ne dite? Ogni vostro commento o suggerimento è come sempre graditissimo!! 

Per ora  è tutto, a breve ci saranno aggiornamenti sul fronte clix per "Progetto Z", alcuni per me e qualcosa per un amico.... ;)

To be honest with you I'm not really satisfied of the final result but, perhaps, considering the 3 hours paint time and that I need this model for a RPG campaign, I should not complain too much...

What is your opinion? Every comment or suggestion is, as always really appreciated!!

Cowgirl #1 - Parte 1

Ciao a tutti,
dopo una breve pausa dovuta ad una commissione alla quale sto lavorando, ho continuato a dedicare la mia modellistica attenzione al "progetto Z".
Visto che nel mio sondaggino di qualche tempo fa mi avevate chiesto di modificare un clix, ho deciso di provare a spingermi un po' oltre con la conversione.
Dopo una breve riflessione ho deciso di utilizzare la parte alta dello stesso clix che usai per realizzare la mia civile in fuga, per le gambe, invece, ho deciso di utilizzare quelle di Tiger Lily.
Dopo un lungo lavoro (confesso di aver tagliato via il tutto e ricominciato da capo alcune volte) ho cercato di ottenere l'effetto di una camicia aperta su di un top che lasciasse scoperto l'ombellico. Una volta ottenuto il tutto, ho provato a scolpire i capelli della ragazza con i capelli raccolti in una coda di cavallo (mia vera e propria passione, ad ognuno la sua!! ;P)

Hello Guys,
after a short break due to a commission which I am working on, I continued to devote modelling attention to "progetto Z".
In my little poll from some time ago, you asked me to modify a clix for modern gaming, I then decided to try to push a little further my modelling skills in this conversion.
After a brief reflection I decided to use the upper part of the same clix that I used to make my running civilian from a while back, for the legs, used those from the Tiger Lily clix.
After a long work (I confess to having cut off the whole thing and started over a few times) I tried to get the effect of an open shirt on a top that doesn't cover the belly. Once everything perfectly cured, I tried to sculpt the hair of the girl trying to obtain a ponytail (a real passion of mine, everyone has fetishes! ;P)

Per ultimo ho completato la pittura del modello, devo dire in tutta onestà di non essere del tutto soddisfatto della camicia però volevo provare qualcosa di diverso, spero vi piaccia....

Lastly I've completed the paintjob of the model, honestly I'm not overjoyed of the shirt but I wanted to try something different, I hope you like it...

BloodBowl a risparmio - Parte 4 (FINISHED!!!)

sono appena tornato da una vacanza di 15 giorni in camper in giro per ll'Italia e la Francia del Sud, purtroppo temo di essermi ingrassato di almeno 2 chili!!! XD
Detto questo, appena tornato a casa ho deciso di completare la squadra del Chaos alla quale stavo lavorando, considerando che mi mancavano 2 modelli per avere la squadra completa più un giocatore di riserva, mi sono dedicato a questo..

Hi Guys,
I'm finally back home after a 2 weeks holiday across northern Italy and southern France in Camping car, unfortunately, I'm afraid I've picked up at least 2 kilos of weight!! XD
That said, as soon I was home, I decided to complete the last 2 models of my Bood bowl Chaos squad and to paint the bases of the entire team.

The complete Team- 11 Players, 1 Reserve and a Cheerleader

Come potete vedere, la squadra è composta da 4 guerrieri del Chaos molto "vintage" ottenuti da modelli vecchi di quasi un ventennio , 3 beastmen in piombo e 5 anch'essi abbastanza vecchiotti. Devo dire di essere soddisfatto del risultato finale considerando anche il costo irrisorio dato che la maggior parte dei modelli sono stati brutalmente "riciclati"!! ;)

As you can see, the team is composed of 4 really vintage Chaos warriors, 3 metal beastmen and 5 oold plastic beastmen I've modified.
I must say I'm satisfied by the final result especially because the whole squad was really cheap to assemble since most of the models were brutally "recicled" from one of my bits boxes.
