Veterans - Parte 1

Eccoci di nuovo,
anche oggi un piccolissimo aggiornamento sul fronte Guardia Imperiale. In realtà non ho fatto molto ma ho finalmente completato la pittura del fucile della Victoria miniatures del mio Veterano dotato di carica di demolizione... Ora ne devo completare solo (!) altri 8... Che ci vorrà mai! ;)

Here we are again,
today I'll post a really small update on the Imperial Guard front. In fact I just painted the Victoria miniatures rifle for my Demolition Veteran... Now I just (!) need to complete 8 more Veterans for my squad... An easy task... ;)

Penal Legion - Parte 1

Ciao di nuovo,
oggi ho lavorato un po' alla squadra di Legionari che vi avevo mostrato nel precedente post. Alla fine ho deciso di completare un singolo legionario che mi servisse poi da modello per il resto della squadra.. Devo dire che le teste della Victoria Miniatures sono un piacere da dipingere!!!
Che ve ne pare? Come al solito, critiche, opinioni e commenti sono i benvenuti...

today I've worked a little on the Penal Legion I've showed you in my last post. I've finally decided to complete a single Legionaire to use as a test model for the rest of the squad. I must add that painting the Victoria Miniatures heads is a real pleasure!!
What is your opinion?  As usual, critics, comments or opinions are really welcome...

Che fine ho fatto... Various WIP..

Ciao a tutti ragazzi,
alcuni di voi mi hanno chiesto che fine avessi fatto e beh, devo dire che ero (di nuovo) in cerca di un lavoro.. Purtroppo la crisi economica ha colpito alla grande il mio settore lavorativo (Studi professionali) e quindi mi sono ritrovato spesso a dover fare "ore in più" essendo pagato "ore in meno".... Il tunnel sembra essere alla fine ed il 4 Marzo dovrei iniziare una nuova attività lavorativa, auguratemi buona fortuna!! ;)
Detto questo, nell'ultimo mese non sono rimasto con le mani in mano ma ho lavorato a diversi progetti senza però riuscire a completare nulla. Dato che non mi andava di far passare troppo tempo senza pubblicare nulla sul blog, spero mi perdonerete per l'avanzato stato da "lavori in corso" di questo post.

Hi to everyone,
some of you have asked me why I disappeared again, well, I was lately busy in searching (again) a new job... Unfortunately, the Crisis struck hard in the sector where I always worked (mostly legal firms) and I had to work very often overtime and be paid less than my basic salary... Fortunately, my ordeal should end soon and the 4th of March I should start a new job, wish me luck!!! ;)
Having said that, in the last month I wasn't idle in the hobby but I worked at a bunch of different projects without completing any... Since I didn't wanted to let pass too long without posting on the blog, I hope you'll forgive me if I post a completely "work in progress" post...

Come potete vedere, ho portato avanti la squadra di Rough riders con i pezzi della Victoria Miniatures (VM), ancora molto è da fare....

Prima parte della mia squadra della Legione Penale per la Guardia Imperiale. Sempre pezzi VM, gambe di Cataciani e braccia di Flagellanti dell'Impero di Warhammer Fantasy leggermente ritoccate.

Parlando invece del progetto Guerra di Spagna, ho (finalmente) completato la mia Lancia IZM che era rimasta in attesa dal 2010... Nella seconda immagine potete vedere 2 italiani della Empress alla quale ho sostituito la testa con il berretto basco con una testa dotata di elmetto adrian (prese dai soldati repubblicani). Il terzo fante in secondo piano, invece, è un italiano della II Guerra mondiale della Warlord miniatures al quale ho messo una testa Empress anch'essa  con elmetto adrian.

Per ora è tutto, come avrete notato, ho parecchia carne al fuoco ma poco tempo per finire il tutto, son sicuro che mi capiate fin troppo bene...
In ogni caso, spero che abbiate trovato questo post comunque interessante.... A presto!!! ;)

Speaking of the Spanish Civil war project, I've finally completed my Lancia IZM which was waiting incompleted since 2010... In the second picture, you can see 2 Italians from Empress with swapped heads, I've cut out the berets and used some helmeted heads from the republican range. The third soldier is a WWII warlord games Italian soldier with an Empress head with adrian helmet.

That's all for now, as you can see, I'm working on a lot of different things, I just don't have the time to finish any, I'm sure you all understand me really well....

com'è ormai mio solito, in chiusura di anno, mi dedico a portare avanti e, possibilmente, completare alcuni progetti da lungo tempo in stand-by. Questa volta mi sono rivolto ad una squadra di 10 falangisti della Empress che attendevano con il solo undercoat di essere completati da Giugno 2010...

Hi Guys,
like every year it usual for me to try to continue and, if possible, complete certain projects I've left in stand-by mode for a long time. This time I worked on a team of 10 undercoated Empress Falangists who were patiently waiting to be completed since June 2010....

Per la pittura dei 10 modelli ho impiegato circa 3 giorni e devo dire di essere stato abbastanza veloce (per il mio standard) ma devo ancora migliorare...

Da Hero Quest a Mordheim - Parte 7

Ciao Ragazzi,
in attesa delle Natalizie festività sono stato colto da un veloce raptus pittorico ed ho deciso di completare un modello in attesa sulla mia scrivania da più di 2 anni (!).
In un'oretta ho completato l'Ogre di Heroquest che avevo modificato taanto tempo fa.. Mi sono in realtà limitato a dipingere l'arma, il terreno ed ho aggiunto alcune luci al berretto, nulla di più...

Hi Guys,
while I'm waiting for the Christmas dinner to my in-laws this evening, I was caught by the painting demon and I decided to complete the modified Heroquest Ogre who was waiting on my desk since 2 years ago (!).
In an hour I've painted his weapon, the base and I've added some highlights on the hat, nothing more..

Don't mess with my pal!

Questo bestione verrà usato come un normale Ogre in Mordheim o Heroquest anche se, la sua funzione principale, sarà quella di contare come 4 modelli nella mia unità di Libera Compagnia dell'Impero per Warhammer Fantasy. In questo modo il "colpo d'occhio" dell'unità sarà particolarmente vario...

This Beast will be used as an ordinary Ogre in Mordheim or Heroquest but it's real use will be that of a 4 models stand-in in my Warhammer fantasy Battles Empire free company unit.
This unit should be interesting to see on the battlefield...

Guerra Franco-Indiana - French and Indian war - Parte 5

Ciao a tutti,
in attesa dell'ormai prossima Apocalisse Maya, ho pensato di mostrarvi l'ennesimo modello per il progetto Guerra Franco Indiana (Ho deciso che d'ora in poi lo chiamerò "Progetto FIW").
Prima di costruire degli schieramenti utilizzabili in gioco, era mia intenzione dipingere i modelli che avevo già pulito ed imbasettato che avevo utilizzato per il mio post di paragone di alcuni giorni fa.
Ho quindi dipinto un Ranger Britannico della North Star da affiancare al miliziano continentale del precendente post.

Hi to all,
while I'm waiting the forthcoming Mayan apocalypse, I thought I'd show you yet another model for the French and Indian project (I've decided that from now on I will call it "Progetto FIW").
Before to assemble some warparty that could be used in-game, my intention was to paint the models I had already cleaned and based that I used for my comparison post of a few days ago.
I then painted a North Star British Ranger to use with the continental militia of my previous post.

Guerra Franco-Indiana - French and Indian war - Parte 4

Eccoci per un brevissimo e fugace aggiornamento.
Ho appena completato il mio primo miliziano provinciale della Perry miniatures, direi che come colono armato possa andare più che bene...
Per la pittura ho cercato di tenerla molto marcata ed evidente in modo da rendere ben visibili i pezzi a distanza "da gioco", credo quindi di dipingere tutti i modelli successivi allo stesso modo evitanto di andare troppo nei dettagli.

Here we are with a quick update.
I've just completed my first Provincial militiaman from the Perry miniatures catalogue.
I've tried to paint him in a marked way with strong colour transitions to make it stand out more at tabletop distance. I think I will paint all the models of this project in a similar way without going too much into the details.
