Death Cult assassin o da Heroclix a Wh40k - Parte 1

Salve a tutti,
prima di tutto mi volevo scusare con tutti voi poiché, per un motivo a me ignoto, non riesco più a commentare su blogger, sia sul mio blog che su quelli che seguo... Sappiate che vi seguo e vi leggo sempre però!! ;)

Detto questo, sappiate che nell'ultimo mese non sono affatto rimasto inattivo, tra le varie cose che ho fatto (e che vi mostrerò a tempo debito), ho dedicato particolare cura alla mia Guardia Imperiale... In realtà sono un pittore non particolarmente lento ma, sicuramente, molto incostante. Non è infatti raro per me avere modelli in attesa sulla mia paint station per mesi (a volte anni) per poi impazzire all'improvviso e completare squadre intere in breve tempo. Stavo portando avanti la pittura di alcuni fanti, il restauro di un vecchissimo e rovinatissimo Leman Russ gentilmente donato da Zerloon oltre alla costruzione da zero di vari veicoli (di questo parlerò più approfonditamente in un secondo momento), quando la GW ha annunciato l'uscita del codex Inquisition. Preso da un raptus di follia e mosso anche dal prezzo irragionevole che raggiungono su ebay i vari assassini, ho deciso di provare a realizzarmi alcuni Death cult assassins provando a convertire alcuni clix che, sia per la posa che perché erano magari danneggiati, non potevo utilizzare per Progetto Z.

Hi everyone,First of all I would like to apologize to all of you because, for a reason unknown to me, it seems I  cannot comment on blogger anymore, both on my blog and on those I follow... Know that I always read and follow you though! ;)
That said, I would like to let you know that in the last month I wasn't idle at all, among other things I've done (and I'll show you in due time), I paid particular attention to my beloved Imperial Guard... Actually I'm not a slow painter, but I'm surely very incostant. It is not uncommon for me to have models waiting on my paint station for months (sometimes years ) and then suddenly go mad and complete entire squads in a really short time. I was painting some infantry, restorating a very old and damaged Leman Russ kindly donated to me by Zerloon and building various Imperial Guard vehicles from scratch (of this I will speak in more detail at a later time), then GW announced the release of the Inquisition codex. Seized by a fit of madness and also moved by the unreasonable price that reach the various assassins on ebay, I decided to try to convert some Death cult assassins trying to use some clix that, both for their pose or because they were damaged, I could not use for Project Z.

Sfortunatamente non ho idea di quale sia il clix che ho utilizzato poiché era in un lotto sprovvisto di basi e carte però la posa era perfetta per rappresentare una veloce e letale combattente.
Ho modificato il modello aggiungendo la lama del pugnale di uno Space Marine e la treccia di una Dark eldar. Con plasticard e carta stagnola, infine, ho scolpito il pendaglio dell'inquisizione oltre alle varie lame e cinghie sulle cosce e sul collo.

Unfortunately I have no idea of the name of the clix that I used because I found it in a lot which was lacking bases and cards, however I thought that the pose was perfect to represent a fast and deadly fighter.
I modified the model by adding the blade of a Space Marine combat dagger and a Dark Eldar braid. With plasticard and tin foil I sculpted Inquisition pendant and the various blades and straps on her thighs and neck.

 

Che ve ne pare? Credo che abbiamo l'inizio di una nuova categoria su questo blog, INQ28... ;)

Zomtober 2013 - Week 4.5 - FINAL

Ciao a tutti,
come promesso nel mio ultimo post, ho deciso di completare almeno un altro dei modelli che avevo in lavorazione per l'edizione di Zombtobre di quest'anno anche se  siamo ormai a Novembre.
Questa settimana ho deciso di convertire e dipingere una sopravvissuta dotata di un abbondatnte "carattere"... ;)

Hi Everybody,
as promised in my last post, I've decided to complete one of the models I was working on for this year Zombtober even if we are in November now.
This week I've decided to convert and paint a female survivor with abundant "character"... ;)

Partendo dal solito clix sverniciato, ho proceduto con l'eliminare le braccia e la testa della miniatura. A questo punto ho frugato fra i pezzi della scatola delle sopravvissute della wargames factory (eccellente scatola!!) ed ho selezionato 2 braccia ed una testa che ritenevo fossero adatte. Dopo aver imperniato i pezzi in una posa che ritenevo accattivante, ho completato il tutto scolpendo una maglietta e delle tasche sui pantaloni. Considerando che la ragazza sembra essere innegabilmente in forma, ho pensato di dipingerla con un jeans aderente ed una maglietta sportiva.

Starting from the usual paint-stripped clix, I proceeded to remove the arms and head of the model. At this point I rummaged between the bits of the Wargames Factory Women survivors (excellent box btw!) and selected 2 arms and an head that I thought were suitable. Having posed the bits in an attractive way, I completed the miniature sculpting a T-shirt and the pants pockets. Considering that this girl seems to be undeniably in good shape and fit, I thought I'd paint her with tight jeans and a sports shirt.

Ho infine ricoperto la base di materia verde che ho testurizzato con della carta vetrata ed ho provato a scolpire un pacchetto di sigarette abbandonato a terra... Che ve ne pare??? :)

I then covered the base with some green stuff and I texturized it with a bit of sand paper. Finally I tried to sculpt an abandoned cigarettes packet.... What do you think??? :)

Parlando di tutt'altro, vi segnalo che siamo nel rush finale del Kickstarter di Mars Attack che finirà Domenica, tra le moltissime cose molto interessanti vi consiglio di dare un'occhiata agli eroi di Greenville che dovrebbero essere adattissimi da usare come sopravvissuti ....

Speaking of something else, I would like to let you know that we are in the final stages of the Mars Attack Kickstarter that will end on Sunday. Among the many very interesting things I suggest you take a look at the Greenville heroes that should be particularly suited to use as survivors ...

Zomtober 2013 - Week 4

questa settimana si conclude lo Zombtobre, anche se la mia produzione non è minimamente paragonabile a quella degli altri partecipanti a questa simpatica iniziativa, devo dire di essere soddisfatto del fatto di aver grosso modo rispettato (escludendo il ritardo iniziale) le scadenze.

this week ends Zombtober, even though my production is not remotely comparable to that of the other participants to this nice initiative, I must say I'm pleased with the fact that I roughly respected (excluding the initial delay) the one miniature per week objective.

Danish Zombie..

Questa settimana ho deciso di completare uno degli Zombi di Zombicide gentilmente donato da Lord Siwoc in ringraziamento per alcune miniature che avevo dipinto per lui...  Johnny doveva inviarmene solo tre ed invece è stata una piacevolissima sorpresa scoprire che il mio Danese preferito mi aveva spedito una copia di tutti gli Zombie del gioco base... :)

This week I decided to complete one of the Zombicide Zombies kindly donated by Lord Siwoc in gratitude for some miniatures that I painted for him ... Johnny had to send me only three of them, and instead I had the pleasant surprise to discover that my favorite Danish guy had kindly sent me a copy of all of the Zombies of the basic game ... :)

Zomtober 2013 - Week 3

Ciao a tutti,
per la terza settimana dello Zombtober ho deciso di realizzare qualcosa di speciale. Partendo dal solito clix (questa volta ho usato il Joker Thug), ho cercato di sostituire il fucile del modello e, soprattutto, sfruttando una certa somiglianza con un brutto ceffo di mia conoscenza (quello a destra), ho deciso di arrischiarmi in un "ritratto".
Con la materia verde ho riposizionato le braccia del modello ed ho cercato di unire i vari elementi nel modo più pulito possibile ed ho quindi scolpito la folta barba Zerlooniana.
Per la pittura ho deciso di provare qualcosa di inusuale ed ho deciso di cercare a riprodurre una t-shirt di montmartre che Zerloon apprezza molto.

Hello to all,
for the third Zombtober week, I decided to make something special. Starting from the usual clix (this time I used the Joker Thug), I tried to replace the rifle of the model and, more importantly, by exploiting a certain resemblance with an ugly face of my acquaintance (the one on the right), I decided to try to do a "portrait ".
With the green stuff I repositioned the arms of the model and tried to join the various elements as cleanly as possible and then I sculpted the famous Zerloonian beard.
For the painting I decided to try something unusual and I decided to try to reproduce a montmartre t-shirt that Zerloon likes.

Zomtober 2013 - Week 2

Ciao a tutti,
anche questa settimana ho rischiato di bucare la scadenza della Domenica... In extremis, quindi, ecco a voi la mia Zombie Crawler (Zombie strisciante).
Devo confessare che la miniatura della Wargames factory era in realtà una scusa per modificare e dipingere la cassetta postale che ho riciclato da questo clix. Essendo il modello un pezzo unico, ho scavato con il taglierino la parte inferiore per ottenere le zampe della cassetta.

Hi boys and girls,
I risked to miss the Sunday deadline this week too but, at the last minute, here is my Zombie Crawler.
I must confess that this wargames factory miniature was actually an excuse to modify and paint the mailbox that I recycled from this clix. Being the mailbox model a one piece lump of plastic, I carved with my cutter the lower part to do the box legs.

Zomtober 2013 - Week 1 (in ritardo...)

Ciao a tutti,

come promesso, quest'anno ho deciso di partecipare anche io alla simpatica iniziativa del buon Brummie, e provare a dipingere almeno un sopravvissuto od uno zombie alla settimana.

Detto questo, i più pignoli di voi potrebbero obiettare che siamo a Lunedì ed ho già bucato la prima scadenza MA, ho una scusa molto valida... Tra Giovedì e Domenica scorsa, con l'associazione Reindeer Corporation, abbiamo avuto Romics ed ho passato diversi giorni a masterizzare partite su partite a Progetto Z...

as I promised, this year I've decided di take part on the Zomtober initiative from Brummie's blog and I will try to paint at least one survivor or a zombie each week.

Said that, the most picky of you could point out that today is monday and I've already failed BUT, I've got a good excuse... Between Thursday and Sunday, with my gaming group, the Reindeer Corporation, we attended the Romics convention and I've passed my last few days umpiring no-stop games after games of Progetto Z....

Men in Black

Poiché il giocatore tipico che partecipa alle attività in fiera non ha una manualità particolarmente "attenta", solitamente ci ritroviamo sempre con delle miniature ridotte in uno stato pietoso... Per questo motivo, ho deciso di modificare o ridipingere un gruppo di Men in Black partendo da vari clix.

Since the typical player who participates in the convention activities is, usually, really clumsy, we always find ourselves at the end of the day with some badly damaged miniatures... For this reason, I've decided to modify or simply repaint a group of Men in Black starting from various clix.

Per migliorare infine il colpo d'occhio globale dello scenario, ho anche completato alcuni arredi urbani..
Per ora è tutto, spero di rimediare alcune foto del tavolo da gioco completo poiché la mia macchinetta fotografica era sfortunatamente scarica.. :(

Dreadball - Judwan team test model - Parte 1

Ciao a tutti,
dopo una lunga assenza causata da un lavoro su commissione del quale non ero autorizzato a pubblicare immagini, ho finalmente ricominciato a dipingere un po' per me.
Decidendo di sfruttare alcune tecniche che ho dovuto usare abbondantemente quest'estate, mi sono dedicato ad uno dei miei Judwan per il gioco Dreadball della Mantic.
Niente di troppo particolare tranne che il modello è molto esile e non permette di dipingere troppi "fronzoli"...

Hi to all,
after my long absence caused by some commission work that I was not allowed to publish on my blog, I finally started again to paint something for myself.
Deciding to take advantage of some techniques that I had to use extensively this summer, I have dedicated myself to one of my Dreadball Judwans from Mantic.
Nothing too special really except that the model is very thin and does not allow to paint too many "frills" ...
