Hi everyone,
as promised in my last post, now let's talk about miniatures!
Lately I've had a lot of difficulty in painting because of my colors. In fact, the majority of my paint pots have become virtually useless, forcing me to greatly reduce my color choices.
That said, I've spent my last afternoon repainting some stripped down heroclix and, in some cases, I slightly modified some of them..
The only one I've completed is a simple Doctor I will use in the Hospital scenario that Zerloon is preparing. Nothing particular on this one, I just stripped it from paint and then I undercoated and repainted it.
Doc Turner, simple repaint of - Marvel Heroclix Researcher Web of Spiderman 003 |

I then took advantage of the colors still on my palette and I painted (I must admit in a "quick and dirty" way) an heroclix "Thug" I slightly modified (In reality I just swapped his right hand to give him a pistol and "greenstuffed" the joint).
As I said, nothing particular, just an hour long paint work and here we go, I still need to complete his sunglasses and shoes...
Stan, slightly converted and repainted - Heroclix Marvel Infinity Challenge Thug 015 |

Next in line I'll paint those models. For them I'm using more care, especially for the flesh tones that I'm painting in my "old way", not using foundation paints or citadel washes.
Lance, repaint of - Heroclix Marvel Infinity Challenge Henchman 016 |
Mickey, separated from - Horrorclix Freak Show Monster Patrol 029 |
Saluti! :)

That's all for now, I hope to post some update before the end of the week. Your comments/advices are, as usual really welcome... :)
Cheers! :)
Very good reduced palette work my friend.
RispondiEliminaVery nice looking paintjobs you have there. I'd never really considered Heroclix for repaints. Well done.
RispondiEliminaVery nice. I can't wait to see the kid with the catapult finished my favorite of these.
RispondiEliminaGlad that you're back in the painting seat. Lovely stuff. Looking forwrad to more and can't wait to see the full hosital scenario too!
RispondiEliminaJust bought the kid with catapult off ebay where they hard to seperate?
RispondiEliminaHi Brummie,
RispondiEliminaThey aren't hard to separate because the boy is attached by the backpack and you only need to trim the excess plastic. A little more "problematic" could be the girl because you'll need to fill her leg with green stuff..
Hope this help and I'm looking forward to your interpretation of him.. :)
