Rule N° 1 - Cardio.... (aka WF Woman survivor) - And Counterblast introduction

nulla di nuovo sul fronte della pittura ma moltissime novità dal punto di vista del modellismo in genere...
Prima di passare a qualcosa di COMPLETAMENTE diverso, ho dipinto una sopravvisuta realizzata con i pezzi della Wargames Factory e devo dire che non mi dispiace..

nothing new on the painting front but many news about my modellism skills in a more global way...
Before we move on to something COMPLETELY different, I assembled and painted a female survivor made ​​with Wargames Factory bits and I must say that I like her..

Alcuni di Voi l'hanno già vista e mi scuso se ripropongo lo stesso modello ma, ultimamente, non mi sono dedicato più alla pittura in quanto ho deciso di provare a scolpire alcuni modelli da zero (diciamo che Zerloon mi ha finalmente convinto a provare).
Di conseguenza mi sto dedicando anima e corpo a questa nuova attività al punto che sto anche valutando di partecipare a questa gara per motivarmi (senza velleità di vittoria ovviamente).
Recentemente ho partecipato al COUNTERBLAST Kickstarter fatto da Patrick Keith e, devo aggiungere, che ho sempre apprezzato la fantascienza "retrò" e sbruffona. E' per questo motivo che ho deciso di scolpire dei modelli scanzonati e simpatici da, eventualmente, utilizzare in Counterblast quando sarà il momento.
Per ora è tutto, a breve vi farò vedere quello che sto ottenendo anche se, purtroppo, non potrò mostrare i modelli che vorrei iscrivere alla competizione a causa del regolamento.

Some of you have already seen it and I apologize if I propose it again but, lately, I have not dedicated myself much to painting since I decided to try to sculpt some models from scratch (Let's say that Zerloon finally convinced me to try).
As a result I am dedicated body and soul to this new activity to the point that I'm also considering to enter this competition to motivate me (no hopes of winning of course).
I recently took part to the Counterblast Kickstarter done by Patrick Keith (nice Guy, really!) and I must add, that I have always loved "Pulp retro" science fiction with boaster Characters. It's for this reason that I decided to sculpt some light-hearted and funny models to possibly to use in Counterblast when the time comes.

That's all for now, shortly I'll show you what I'm achieving though, unfortunately, I can not show the models I want to enter to the competition because of the rules.

Che abbiamo in seconda ora? - Parte 3

Ciao a tutti,
Oggi vorrei riparlare di Progetto Z e clix vari...
Tanto tempo fa, uno dei primi modelli che realizzai per Progetto Z, doveva rappresentare un giovane con una giacca da college. Nel tempo, anche Zerloon decise di realizzare un modello vestito con lo stesso tipo di giacca, decretando di fatto che il college nei dintorni della cittadina americana dove abbiamo ambientato PZ aveva come colori sociali il bianco ed il rosso.
Volendo portare avanti questo concetto, decisi poi di dipingere un segnalino obiettivo rappresentante una borsa da palestra ed il borsone di un altro modello con questi stessi colori..
Oggi ho deciso di continuare sulla stessa strada ed ho leggermente adattato la giacca dell'ennesimo clix che ho poi ridipinto. Ho inoltre deciso di "prendere ispirazione" dal lavoro di Bandit86 ed ho utilizzato una pistola della Wargames Factory, un'idea semplice ma che porta risultati ottimi... ;)

Hi everyone,
Today I want to talk again about "Progetto Z" and various clix ...
Long ago, one of the first models for "Progetto Z" I've done, was supposed to represent a young man with a college jacket. In time, even Zerloon decided to paint a model dressed in the same type of jacket, decreeing that the college on the outskirts of our fictious American town where we had set the "PZ" game had white and red as colors.
Wanting to pursue this concept, I decided then to paint an objective marker representing a gym bag and the bag of another model with these same colors ..
Today I decided to continue on the same road and I slightly adapted the jacket of the umpteenth clix that I then repainted. I also decided to "take inspiration" from Bandit86 work and I used a Wargames Factory handgun for his left hand, a simple idea but it brings good results ... ;)

come al solito sono sparito, purtroppo il tempo di mettermi al computer per scrivere qualcosa di nuovo ed interessante sul blog è sempre meno... Trovandomi davanti al pesante dilemma tra scrivere post interessanti ed elaborati (senza foto) e scrivere poche righe inframmezzate da tantissime foto delle mie ultime creature, penso preferiate la seconda....
Bando alle ciance allora, per il momento mi limiterò a condividere con voi il risultato degli ultimi 2 mesi di modellismo "Imperiale"..

Hi everyone,
as usual I've disappeared for a while, unfortunately the time I have to sit at the computer to write something new and interesting on the blog is always less ... Finding myself in front of the heavy dilemma between writing interesting and deep posts (with no photos) and write a few lines interspersed with many pics of my latest creations, I think you'll prefer the latter ....
'Nuff said then, for the moment I will share with you the results of the last two months of "Imperial" modeling ..

Cardboard and plasticard scratch built Griffon... Obviously, I can't use it anymore... GRRRR!!!

 

The Griffon mortar is removable, I'll try to build a new gun to use it as a Wyvern

Veteran Squad of Guardsmen, The sergeant and the Commissar are the most recent additions

The sgt's Cross, his cap and the skull with laurel on the Commissar cap are modelled from scratch with green stuff.

 

The Commissar has started his life as Colonel commissar Gaunt, I've used a slightly adapted Victoria miniatures sword arm and a German officer head from Warlord Miniatures.

The Ruins on the base were about to be thrown away by a friend because badly painted and damaged, I asked him to give them to me so I could try to salvage them, I think I was able to... ;) 

Painting the cockpit like that gave me the bits to model the control station on the griffon...

Guardie Imperiali in ordine sparso - Parte 3

lentamente (molto lentamente) sto cercando di aumentare la consistenza della mia Guardia Imperiale. Dopo alcuni giorni di lavoro, ho completato l'assemblaggio di diverse guardie ma la pittura di due soltanto.

slowly (really slowly) I'm trying to beef up my Imperial Guard detachment. After a couple of days of work I've completed the assembly and the conversion of some Guards but I've had the time to paint just two of them...

Ho completato questo modello utilizzando una testa delle grandi spade dell'impero fantasy, delle braccia della Victoria Miniatures ed uno zaino della maxmini... Devo dire di aver dedicato particolare attenzione alla pittura del volto di questo modello e di esserne particolarmente soddisfatto.

I've completed this model using an Empire Great sword head, Victoria miniatures arms and a Maxmini backpack... I've dedicated a lot of care in the painting of the head of this model and I should say that I'm fairly satisfied of the result.

Il secondo modello che ho dipinto è stato fatto con molta meno attenzione, ho semplicemente assemblato una Guardia equipaggiata con un lanciafiamme pesante che ho dipinto rapidamente con l'ormai classica livrea.

Guerra Franco-Indiana - French and Indian war - Parte 6

Per oggi mi limiterò ad eseguire un veloce post per mostrarvi una piccolissima commissione che ho fatto per il buon Sinclair.
In realtà, più che una vera commissione, abbiamo fatto un semplice scambio tra alcuni modelli che non avrebbe mai utilizzato (chi non ne ha!!) in cambio della pittura di una squadra di 5 rangers della North Star per la Guerra Franco Indiana, Spero ne rimanga soddisfatto!! ;) .

For today I will just do a quick post to show you a small commission work that I did for good old Sinclair.
In fact, more than a real commission, we simply made a deal and traded between a few models that he would never use (who does not have a lot of those?!?!) in exchange for me painting a squad of five French and Indian War British rangers from North Star, I hope he will be pleased by the result! ;).

as I promised, I've tried to post again without making you wait too much. Today I would like to show you some of the Imperial Guards that I've recently painted or, simply, completed.

From Left to right: Veteran Guardman, Company Commander, Platoon Commander, Overseer, Flamer Specialist

Niente di realmente particolare, quello che ho però cercato di ottenere è stato di adattare dei volti presi dalle libere compagnie dell'Impero fantasy ed adattarle ad elmetti vuoti da Sergente della Guardia. La testa del Custodes, invece, è quella di uno Space wolf al quale ho eliminato il collo e la nuca che ho poi riscolpito con la materia verde.

Nothing special, really, but what I tried to achieve was to adapt some of the fantasy Empire free companies faces and adapt them to some of the Guard Sergeant's empty helmets.  The head of the Overseer, however, was taken from a Space wolf and I removed its neck and the back of his head which I then resculpted with some green stuff.

after several commitments that kept me away from the blog for a while, I finally was able to dedicate a couple of minutes to update it a little.
In the last month I must say that I realised quite a few models (for my standards) and I hope I'll be able to update the blog a little more regularly from now on to show you the new entries...

Unarmored but still violent...

Per prima cosa ho deciso di dipingere un vecchissimo Guerriero del Chaos di Blood bowl per sostituire uno dei miei Guerrieri, Questa scelta è dovuta principalmente al fatto che, nel corso della precedente stagione che ho giocato con gli amici, durante un feroce incontro contro gli orchi di Kuvier, il mio guerriero N°2 subiva una perdita permanente al suo valore di AV (armatura), quale soluzione migliore per rappresentarlo di dipingere un guerriero che ne fosse effettivamente privo?

The first thing I've done this days was to paint a very old Blood Bowl Chaos Warrior to replace one of my players. This choice is mainly due to the fact that, during the previous season that I played with my friends, during a fierce encounter against Kuvier's Orcs, my warrior #2 suffered a permanent loss to his AV value, what better way to represent him than paint a warrior who is actually deprived of armor?

Per ora è tutto, a breve vi aggiornerò sullo stato della mia Guardia Imperiale che è aumentata di punti in maniera consistente (non vi dico nulla di preciso ma posso dirvi che il mio esercito è molto meno di Fanteria... :P )

Death Cult assassin o da Heroclix a Wh40k - Parte 1

Salve a tutti,
prima di tutto mi volevo scusare con tutti voi poiché, per un motivo a me ignoto, non riesco più a commentare su blogger, sia sul mio blog che su quelli che seguo... Sappiate che vi seguo e vi leggo sempre però!! ;)

Detto questo, sappiate che nell'ultimo mese non sono affatto rimasto inattivo, tra le varie cose che ho fatto (e che vi mostrerò a tempo debito), ho dedicato particolare cura alla mia Guardia Imperiale... In realtà sono un pittore non particolarmente lento ma, sicuramente, molto incostante. Non è infatti raro per me avere modelli in attesa sulla mia paint station per mesi (a volte anni) per poi impazzire all'improvviso e completare squadre intere in breve tempo. Stavo portando avanti la pittura di alcuni fanti, il restauro di un vecchissimo e rovinatissimo Leman Russ gentilmente donato da Zerloon oltre alla costruzione da zero di vari veicoli (di questo parlerò più approfonditamente in un secondo momento), quando la GW ha annunciato l'uscita del codex Inquisition. Preso da un raptus di follia e mosso anche dal prezzo irragionevole che raggiungono su ebay i vari assassini, ho deciso di provare a realizzarmi alcuni Death cult assassins provando a convertire alcuni clix che, sia per la posa che perché erano magari danneggiati, non potevo utilizzare per Progetto Z.

Hi everyone,First of all I would like to apologize to all of you because, for a reason unknown to me, it seems I  cannot comment on blogger anymore, both on my blog and on those I follow... Know that I always read and follow you though! ;)
That said, I would like to let you know that in the last month I wasn't idle at all, among other things I've done (and I'll show you in due time), I paid particular attention to my beloved Imperial Guard... Actually I'm not a slow painter, but I'm surely very incostant. It is not uncommon for me to have models waiting on my paint station for months (sometimes years ) and then suddenly go mad and complete entire squads in a really short time. I was painting some infantry, restorating a very old and damaged Leman Russ kindly donated to me by Zerloon and building various Imperial Guard vehicles from scratch (of this I will speak in more detail at a later time), then GW announced the release of the Inquisition codex. Seized by a fit of madness and also moved by the unreasonable price that reach the various assassins on ebay, I decided to try to convert some Death cult assassins trying to use some clix that, both for their pose or because they were damaged, I could not use for Project Z.

Sfortunatamente non ho idea di quale sia il clix che ho utilizzato poiché era in un lotto sprovvisto di basi e carte però la posa era perfetta per rappresentare una veloce e letale combattente.
Ho modificato il modello aggiungendo la lama del pugnale di uno Space Marine e la treccia di una Dark eldar. Con plasticard e carta stagnola, infine, ho scolpito il pendaglio dell'inquisizione oltre alle varie lame e cinghie sulle cosce e sul collo.

Unfortunately I have no idea of the name of the clix that I used because I found it in a lot which was lacking bases and cards, however I thought that the pose was perfect to represent a fast and deadly fighter.
I modified the model by adding the blade of a Space Marine combat dagger and a Dark Eldar braid. With plasticard and tin foil I sculpted Inquisition pendant and the various blades and straps on her thighs and neck.

 

Che ve ne pare? Credo che abbiamo l'inizio di una nuova categoria su questo blog, INQ28... ;)

Zomtober 2013 - Week 4.5 - FINAL

Ciao a tutti,
come promesso nel mio ultimo post, ho deciso di completare almeno un altro dei modelli che avevo in lavorazione per l'edizione di Zombtobre di quest'anno anche se  siamo ormai a Novembre.
Questa settimana ho deciso di convertire e dipingere una sopravvissuta dotata di un abbondatnte "carattere"... ;)

Hi Everybody,
as promised in my last post, I've decided to complete one of the models I was working on for this year Zombtober even if we are in November now.
This week I've decided to convert and paint a female survivor with abundant "character"... ;)

Partendo dal solito clix sverniciato, ho proceduto con l'eliminare le braccia e la testa della miniatura. A questo punto ho frugato fra i pezzi della scatola delle sopravvissute della wargames factory (eccellente scatola!!) ed ho selezionato 2 braccia ed una testa che ritenevo fossero adatte. Dopo aver imperniato i pezzi in una posa che ritenevo accattivante, ho completato il tutto scolpendo una maglietta e delle tasche sui pantaloni. Considerando che la ragazza sembra essere innegabilmente in forma, ho pensato di dipingerla con un jeans aderente ed una maglietta sportiva.

Starting from the usual paint-stripped clix, I proceeded to remove the arms and head of the model. At this point I rummaged between the bits of the Wargames Factory Women survivors (excellent box btw!) and selected 2 arms and an head that I thought were suitable. Having posed the bits in an attractive way, I completed the miniature sculpting a T-shirt and the pants pockets. Considering that this girl seems to be undeniably in good shape and fit, I thought I'd paint her with tight jeans and a sports shirt.

Ho infine ricoperto la base di materia verde che ho testurizzato con della carta vetrata ed ho provato a scolpire un pacchetto di sigarette abbandonato a terra... Che ve ne pare??? :)

I then covered the base with some green stuff and I texturized it with a bit of sand paper. Finally I tried to sculpt an abandoned cigarettes packet.... What do you think??? :)

Parlando di tutt'altro, vi segnalo che siamo nel rush finale del Kickstarter di Mars Attack che finirà Domenica, tra le moltissime cose molto interessanti vi consiglio di dare un'occhiata agli eroi di Greenville che dovrebbero essere adattissimi da usare come sopravvissuti ....

Speaking of something else, I would like to let you know that we are in the final stages of the Mars Attack Kickstarter that will end on Sunday. Among the many very interesting things I suggest you take a look at the Greenville heroes that should be particularly suited to use as survivors ...
