Ora, di ruote, me ne servono due! - Parte 1

Ciao a tutti,
Nel desiderio di dare varietà al parco macchine che sto allestendo per il "progetto Z", mi sono accorto che il mercato non offre veicoli a due ruote, che essi siano moto, motorini o semplici biciclette, nella scala 1/43 che abbiamo deciso di usare.
Tutte le moto che ho trovato in commercio, infatti, vengono prodotte in 1/32, 1/18 oppure 1/6.
Non essendo nessuna di queste lontanamente utilizzabile, ho deciso di rivolgermi agli ormai soliti clix. Dopo una lunga e tediosa ricerca, ho trovato quello che fa al caso mio, per la precisione ho deciso di usare questo modello.
dopo aver separato il pilota dalla moto, ho creato un cavalletto con due pezzi di attache.

wanting to give variety to the vehicles that I'm preparing for the "Progetto Z", I realized that the market does not offer two-wheeled vehicles in the 1/43 scale that I've decided to use.
All the bikes that I found on the market, in fact, are produced in 1/32, 1/18 or 1/6.
Not one of those are remotely usable, so I decided to use another clix. After a long and tedious search, I found what is right for me, actually I decided to use this model.
After separating the driver from the bike, I set up a bipod with two pieces of a pin.

Come potete vedere, il confronto di scala con Ema è più che dignitoso. A questo punto non rimaneva che primerizzare di nero e cercare di dipingere una livrea adatta.

As you can see, the comparison of scale with Ema is more than decent. I then primed the motorbike in black and I surfed the net to find a nice Livery.

Devo sempre completare la pittura e l'invecchiamento ma direi che mi posso ritenere soddisfatto.
A voi che ve ne pare? Sono sulla strada giusta o conoscete produttori di moto e biciclette in 1/43??

I still have to complete the painting and the weathering of it but I'd say I can feel satisfied.
What do you think of it? I'm on the right path or you know some producers of 1/43 motorbikes and bycicles??

Lo sport fa bene... Parte 1

Ciao a tutti,
un velocissimo aggiornamento. Oggi pomeriggio, mentre aspettavo si catalizzasse lo stucco per le modifiche di cui vi parlavo ieri, ho dato due velocissime pennellate all'ennesimo clix.. Questa volta nessuna modifica, il modello andava già bene così, ho solo perso un'oretta scarsa per dare nuova vita a questa sportiva ragazza.. Ultime cose da ritocare saranno i capelli e devo dipingergli le scarpe, ancora esito su quale colore usare...

a really quick update. This afternoon, while I waited for the Green stuff to cure in the two conversions I was talking about yesterday, I dedicated a little less than an hour in painting another clix. No conversions this time, the miniature was already good, I just need to paint the boots and to finish the hair.

Aggiornamenti - Parte 1

Salve a tutti,
dopo alcuni giorni di silenzio, volevo aggiornarvi su alcune conversioni alle quali sto lavorando. Nessuna pittura oggi... :)
Come vi accennavo alcuni giorni fa, avendo ricevuto diversi clix con i quali divertirmi, mi sto lasciando trasportare dall'ispirazione... Questo vuol dire che prendo ripetutamente il modello senza fargli nulla e, all'improvviso, comincio a stagliuzzarlo e farlo a pezzi....
Dopo aver separato i due modelli del clix di "Larry e Mike" della serie Watchmen, mi sono dedicato al più corpulento dei due... Come potete notare, ho eliminato la sega circolare ed ho ricostruito il davanti del modello. Dopo aver scolpito un cappello da pescatore, ho cambiato leggermente la posa delle braccia e gli ho appoggiato (provvisoriamente) un fucile come se stesse di guardia all'accampamento. Assolutamente niente di particolare ma, con la pittura giusta, credo si possa ottenere qualcosa sullo stile del Cacciatore che ho completato un po' di tempo fa...

La Seconda miniatura che ho in lavorazione è una sopravvissuta della Reaper. Come ricorderete in questo mio post, mi lamentavo del fatto che le miniature Reaper hanno una qualità di stampa veramente pessima, beh, questa miniatura era anche peggio.... La sensazione era che le due metà dello stampo fossero addirittura male allineate! La situazione era talmente pessima che ho dovuto scartare del tutto una delle braccia ed ho dovuto ricostruire la metà sinistra del volto!!!Visto che c'ero, ho sostituito la mano destra con un'altra pistola ed ho scolpito integralmente la mano sinistra cercando di scolpire una Mag-lite...
In questi giorni cercherò di dedicarmi alla pittura, vedremo solo allora se le modifiche/sculture sono state fatte veramente bene... :)

Hello everyone,
after several days of silence, I wanted to update you on some conversions I'm working on. No painting today ... :)
As I hinted a few days ago, having received several clix, I'm still modifying some of them for the "Progetto Z".
After separating the two models of the clix "Larry and Mike" of the Watchmen serie, I have dedicated myself to the most stout of the two ..As you can see, I removed the circular saw and I rebuilt the front of the model. Having carved a fisherman's hat (That's how I call those), I slightly changed the pose of the arms and I supported him (temporarily) a rifle as if to guard the camp. Absolutely nothing special, but with the right paint, I think I can get a miniature like the hunter I painted some time ago...
The second miniature I'm working on, is one of the female survivor from Reaper. As you may recall in this post of mine, I complained the casting quality of the Reaper miniatures that is extremely bad.
This miniature was even worse .... The feeling was that the two halves of the mold were misaligned! The situation was so bad that I had to completely discard one of his arms and I had to rebuild the left half of her face! Then I replaced the right hand with another gun and I sculpted the left hand completely trying to do a Mag-lite too...
In these days I will devote myself to painting them, only then we will see if modifications and sculptures were really made well ... :)

Civili - Parte 4

Ecco fatto,
ho provato a seguire i consigli di Lord Siwoc e, solo in parte, quello di Zerloon.
Infatti ho cercato di ritoccare un po' la linea della bocca anche se era incisa troppo bene e quindi potevo lavorarci poco. Devo dire di aver fatto fatica a fare il mascara colato anche perché non avevo mai provato nulla di simile. Che ve ne pare? Possiamo ritenerla una vittima credibile???
Aspetto vostri consigli con ansia...

It's done.
I tried to follow Lord Siwoc advice and, only partially Zerloon's.
I've tried to modify the mouth of the miniature but it is too sharply sculpted and I could not do so much only by painting.
I'm not sure of the mascara effect because it's the first time I try something like that, what do you think of it?
I'm waiting for your commnets and advices that are, as always, really appreciated...

Civili - Parte 3

Rieccoci,
come vi accennavo ieri, ho ricevuto alcuni clix con i quali volevo fare degli esperimenti..
Tra tutti quelli che ho ricevuto, volevo provare a realizzare l'ennesimo inerme cercando però di ottenere una posa confacente ad un'apocalisse zombie....
Sono partito dalla "Phantom Girl" n. 005 della serie "Legion of superheroes" di heroclix.
Intanto sono rimasto sorpreso dalla "pulizia" della scultura, finalmente un clix non affogato di vernice...
Ho iniziato a lavorare al modello stuccando tutte le giunture ed eliminando più linee di fusione possibile ed incicciottendo l'interno dei capelli, altrimenti, essendo un pezzo separato, l'effetto era quello di una grossa parrucca.

Here we go again,
as I said yesterday, I've received some clix and I want to experiment a little with them.
My goal is to obtain another "victim" but, this time I want a pose which may feel "right" in a zombie apocalypse.
I've worked on the heroclix "Legion of superheroes" n. 005 "Phantom girl" and, with some Green stuff and a cutter, I've prepared it.
Come potete vedere è ancora un work in progress ma credo che stia procedendo nella giusta direzione... Unico grosso difetto, non riesco a dipingere uno sguardo spaventato.... Che ve ne pare?? Come al solito, consigli e commenti sono pià che graditi!! :)

As you can see, it's still a Work in progress but I think that I'm going in the right direction.. Unfortunately, I'm not able to paint a "frightened" look on her... What do you think??

SALUTE 2011

Ormai ci siamo quasi...Io e Zerloon, accompagnati dalle nostre dolci metà, siamo in procinto di partire per la fredda Albione per andare a quella che ritengo, con la mia poca esperienza ovviamente, la miglior fiera del settore..
Io e la Giusy abbiamo deciso di regalarci alcuni giorni aggiuntivi a fare i turisti mentre i nostri compagni hanno deciso di farsi un'ammazzata biblica...
La mia lista della spesa sarà il meno lunga possibile (ma chi voglio prendere in giro?). Proprio per non sovraccaricarmi di piombo all'aeroporto ho acquistato alcune cose in anticipo in modo da lasciarmi libero di fare acquisti "d'impulso".
Penso di riportare a casa alcuni cavalieri dell'unione appiedati per schermaglie nella Guerra civile americana, qualche Napoleonico, per la precisone il Gruppo comando dei rifles inglesi più qualche dragone francese appiedato per schermagliare allegramente nella spagna del 1800 e, sicuramente, qualche zombie e qualche civile qua e là... Poi vedremo!!! ;)

Salute is approaching and I will be there with Zerloon and our girlfriends.
Trying to not shell out to much of my poor finances, I'll try to spend less possible ( and I'll surely fail!!!)
I will surely buy some Perry dismounted union cavalry and some british 95th rifles to do some skirmish and I also think I'll buy some cold war zombie. We'll see... :)

Clix mania - Parte 1

questa mattina ho ricevuto alcuni Clix che avevo ordinato su ebay alcune settimane fa ed ho iniziato subito a confrontare le dimensioni dei singoli pezzi con le miniature dei sopravvissuti già in mio possesso.

this morning I've received some of the Clix I bought on ebay some weeks ago. First thing I've done is to compare to figures with some of the survvors I've already painted.Come potete vedere, ho utilizzato la studentessa della Reaper ( tra le miniature più alte in mio possesso) e una motociclista della Offensive miniatures (tra le più piccole in assoluto). Beh, ho notato che gli hero ed horror clix sono molto grossi ma, con un po' di lavoro, alcuni si prestano molto bene ad essere usati secondo me..

As you can see, I've used the Reaper girl (one of the biggest miniatures I've got) and an Offensive miniatures biker (one of the smallest).
I've noticed that the horroclix and heroclix range are bigger than everything but, with some work, some of them are usable and can be nice once completed...
