The Zombies are coming.... - Parte 3

Here we are at the third and final part of the story. In this final stage, in reality, there is not too much to say except from a narrative point of view..
What I can say is that trying to prepare a report in Italian and English has proved to be a very challenging and very very long work, however, I hope you enjoyed it! ;)

""l'elicottero!!!"".
________________

Kurt was in a relatively safe position, perched on that balcony, he stood just out of reach of the Zombies, which, with rotting arms outstretched toward him, were trying to catch him.
Under him there was now a seething and nauseating mass of creatures that had surrounded its cover completely blocking any possibility of escape. Aware of this, nothing but even more anger was fuelled in him, anger that most probably, was the result of irrational fear.
Looking at the hands trying to grab him, Kurt replaced the ammo clip while quietly hissing insults to the undeads beneath him as if they could understand what he's saying, he knew he was going to die and to be honest, He did not cared.
In those long moments of relative calm, he could hear around him only the moans of the Zombies and some distant sound of gunfire, probably his traveling companions had stumbled in other troubles and they had it coming, the bastards had left him and he now would have to go for it alone.
Suddenly Kurt heard a distant hum that was increasingly growing louder. It took him a while to figure out what it was but he finally understood ""The Helicopter !!!"".
L'elicottero cerca un posto adatto ad atterrare - The Heli circle in search of a landing point
_______________

A few minutes later, a red helicopter began to fly over the area looking for a place to land .. Great was his surprise when it decided to settle on the roof of a building no more than a block from him. Even if he had, at least until a few moments before, thought of wanting to die, seeing a chance of salvation so close rekindled in him a fierce survival instinct. Decided to sell his life dearly, he began to fire into the mass of creatures beneath him. As soon as he emptied another magazine, Kurt threw himself on the side where he previously climbed. Wasting no time, he ran toward the helicopter, climbing on the cab of the truck and then jumping on the road.
Go for it!

_______________

He had just got back on his foot that a dozen Zombies were almost upon him, he ran like a madman when, from the road to his left, that Dale kid popped up running with that blonde b*tch in trail, they were followed by a group of people he never seen before. Those bastards will leave him back if he had not arrived there first, he was sure of this...
They all arrived at the door at the same time and he pushed aside a fat guy so to pass before him.
Once inside they barred the door and each one went running to the roof where they found the helicopter that was waiting for them. There were a pilot and a doctor, both armed, who visited them quickly before letting them board.

Emanuelle was recovering his breath, they had just taken off and only then she began to notice that she was really tired. Fortunately, the helicopter had not proved a bad joke even though they had no idea who these men were or who were the other survivors they had encountered. In any case, they were no longer alone and this was very reassuring, she was sitting in front of Kurt which had'nt stopped to stare at her with a look of fierce hatred that does not bode well ....

Better to run faster!

Safe... for now....
_____________

That's it then, the rules are simple and the game runs smoothly, considering that the game lasted a little 'less than two hours, I would say that they are perfect for convention playing..
About the story, for "narrative" reasons Kurt has become a bad guy with the bad habit of making too much noise, the monstrous quantity of Zombies that I faced was in fact not caused by him but by bad initiative rolls(we roll a dice for each faction, for each double rolled, 1d3 zombies at 20cm from a character of that team... if you roll three doubles in a row(!), the area becomes quite busy in a moment ...)
In the end I must say that Ema has been a monster with six kills in close combat and 2 more shooting, Dale was pretty much useless with only one kill in CC and 2 from shooting, Finally, Kurt "bad guy" scored two kills in CC and a whooping 21(!) with gunfire, probably an ex Marine or, more probably, a former bank robber...
That's it for now, please let me know what you think of it and excuse the mass bad-english that you surely found.... :)

  4. That was a satisfying conclusion to a very exciting game. Happy endings don't often happen in ATZ.

I wouldn't worry about your English translation too much. I was able to understand your narrative very well. I hope this inspires you to do more batreps.

  6. Thank you all, I'm happy you liked my Story ;)

@TAL: you are a former bank robber or an ex marine too??? :P
@Ray: Happy you liked it, I was thinking with Zerloon to start the campaign from day one with a scenario for each character to reach this situation on day 12.....
@Jhon: Greetings! I tried to comment in your blog but it seems something is broken... :(
@Vampi: Hi Bryan, as Zerloon said in his blog, we still don't use ATZ, but we are trying to "trim" this ruleset for the convention games we organise with our gaming association (Reindeer Corporation in the side bar)so we have an easy and free ruleset to give away to the players ( I don't think Ed from THW would appreciate if we gave his rule to everyone for free, don't you think ? eh eh ;) )
As I'm interested very much in ATZ (I like CR3 system, a lot like an Role Playing game to me), I will buy it soon and I think Zerloon will buy the encounter cards...
@Lord Siwoc: Ehilà mate! Kurt is the baddest Son of a b*tch in town!! I really didn't expected him to survive, He's stronger than the game master!!!! XD

  8. Fantastic conclusion to the battle report Gnotta. Your narrative transalates well. Even with some of the quirks of transaltion you can tell that you write very well indeed. Loving it. Keep it up Sir, looking forward to more.
