Run for life - Parte 1

Ciao a tutti,

Hello everyone,
As you probably noticed, "real life" kicked in and this led to a drastic decrease in the blog's updates.
Having said that, in the last two weeks, I wasn't totally inactive but I have dedicated myself to one of the most challenging conversions I ever attempted.
Starting with the usual spare clix, I tried to do a shotgun armed girl who looks like a fully fledged survivor in an advanced stage of the Zombie Apocalypse.

Le miniature dalle quali sono partito - The minis I've started with.

I've started with the Old republic scout legs (the same I used for Ema) and I used the upper torso and the head of an horrorclix biker girl which I don't remember the name.

Il primo passo - The first part of the conversion
______________
I then glued the torso to the leg with a pin and I sculpted the missing belly of the miniature with Green stuff.
Once cured I tried to soften the edges of the sculpted part trying to keep it "soft and feminine".

Now the hard part...

I must confess that, at this point, lacking the courage to start the sculpture from scratch of the arms, I abandoned the conversion for a week. When I finally decided to proceed, I built an armature with wire and I built the volumes of the arms with Green Stuff trying to avoid a "gorilla pose".

Run for your life!!

______________

The next step was to sculpt the short sleeves of the shirt (mainly to cover the inaccuracies of the sculpture of the shoulders) and to turn the pants of the miniature into Blue Jeans also modifying the boots to obtain some sneakers. Needless to say that the hardest part was to sculpt the hands, really difficult to make!

Ready for the paint station..

A presto!! ;)

Here you can see the completed work next to an unmodified Old republic scout from Star Wars, what do you think?
Tonight I'll try to prime it and I hope to start painting it very soon... Ciao!! ;)
